Essential Question: How do i use ratios and porportions to solve Geometric problems?

Ratios and Porportions are really closely related to shapes and angles, in other words Geometry.When creating porportions, the shapes in Geometry help you to create them. For example, lets pretend you have 2 triangles and you are trying to find the values of the unknown values in the triangle. you get the sides that are similar and you turn it into a porportions, and whatever you get that is the answer for the value of the unknown value. Ratios are a big help when you are doing scale factor, you need ratios and porportions to do those. For example, when you havre a blue print of something you would set up the porportion as  the actual length over the model

Essential Question: How do I use properties of Congruence to find unknown values?

First  you must and need to know what congruent figures are. Congruent figures are figures with the same amount of sides and there angles are all the same. Here is an example:

 4x + 5= 105
      -5     -5
4x = 100
4       4
x = 25
The answer is x =25

Essential Question: How do i use triangle sum properties to find unknown values?

In order to find the unknown value of the triangle sum, the measures of the interior angles of that triangle has to equal  180. To determine whether its equal to 180, you use the numbers in the equation given to follow though. When trying to find the unknown number of any triangle you have to use the Triangle Angle Sum Theorem to solve for it. The Triangle Angle Sum Theorem states that a right triangle equals 180. After you put the equation you need to plug in the numbers you get into the equation.

How do I write linear equations passing through a given point?

In order to do this, you need the slope of the line by identifying the points that cross the x and y-axis. You can use Slope Intercept Form or Standard Form.
